[NCC] Contester's finger

John,

I'm a one-finger typist.  So, ALL my typing is done between
the index fingers on the right & left hands.  That would be
a LOT of banging.  But, I suffer no ill effects.  Perhaps you
are unconsciously hitting the keys a lot harder than you
realize and need to do.  That might be causing the damage
that flares up in the joint.  Just a thought.

Also, have you tried one of those soft-touch keyboards?
They don't bottom-out onto a hard surface like a regular
keyboard.  Might help.
