If you want to win, or be in the running to win, use K1LZ. It's better
known, and more important, the zone you send will match the call.
If you just want to have fun (and you still might win!), use K0DXC. Just
don't sign "1" .

Ok..
First off, this is actually pretty stupid. I mean, yeah, I need LOTS of
help...
But I'm going to ask for insight on an Amateur Radio subject this time.
This weekend in the IARU I will be SOAB HP at K1LZ in Boston... Krassy has
opened up his station to me, but this is my first single op from his place.
He's given me the option of using my own call, K0DXC, if I want to. Or I
can
use K1LZ.
This being said... Which call should I use??? I'm completely lost, and I
can't
decide. K0DXC is long as crap, and K1LZ is a short, good, recognized call.
Call
recognition is HUGE, and I just don't have it with K0DXC. All logical
explanations (that I've come up with) point to using K1LZ. But, with
K0DXC... I
could actually operate seriously in a contest using my OWN call! I've
never
actually done that before! I've never been "LOUD" as K0DXC...
Any thoughts? Once again, sorry for the waste of space.
GL to all, and I bet even a few at WRTC in Moscow will read this! I hope
to work
you guys, whatever call I may use.

Oh yeah, and I plan on being CW only this weekend. Yeah, I do have a ton
of fun
with SSB... But I have reasons for sticking with the Morse side of things
this
weekend.
