   Soapbox : Hell of a time to start new contest logging program the day of
contest, on a faulty computer,

  with house full of grandkids, no antenna for 160 or 80, and a dipole over
a tree for 40.  Not one of my greatest

  efforts, but best I could do considering.

 

  About 10 hours total time on air, and about that same time trying to keep
logging computer

  running.  At about 3pm Sunday, computer was crashing, I stopped
contesting, was able to load n1mm contest log

  to disc before computer shut down. 

 

 Worst of all, I ran out of Captain Morgan Rum and had xyl make a quick trip
to Howland Giant Eagle to restock!!
Not being the greatest cw contester, I just don't understand why stations
have to send their calls at 100 wpm!!!!
Can't tell you how many I heard do that, and the loads of people sending
question mark to have them send their calls again and again...

 

  Thanks to my xyl that kept kids away and took time to make liquor run,
strictly for medicinal purposes mind you!!!
