Another cool but little known feature of CQ160 (and other CQ contests for
that matter) is that they don't have the ARRL's obsession about using
multiple calls from a given transmitter or location. For the past few years I've
operated from home with one call on Friday, a second call on Saturday, and
a couple of times even a third call in the short time the band is useful on
Sunday.

This really keeps the rate up on the second night.

As a matter of contest ethics should you do so, make a good effort to work
anybody and everybody - no passing out qsos only to select friends.

p.s. I hope this doesn't cause W8CAR to snap. Then he'd be a 160
whipper-snapper.

As Tom pointed out 2200Z end time not 0200!

Greetings NCCers, The CQWW 160 CW test is coming soon. Consider yourself
'whipped' to operate. The test starts 2200Z on Jan 28 (Friday) and runs to
2200Z on Sunday. This is one of my favorite tests and my view is EVERYONE
should get on and give me a contact! You don't need power or even a good
antenna to make some contacts. This is a good way to get ready for ARRLDX
CW
coming in Feb.

Post your plans here and I'll make a list to distribute and also add to
the
website. I plan to be on as close to full time as possible and look forward
to working lots of NCCers.

73 Dan W8CAR
160 whipper
