And coming up even sooner, is the ARRL VHF SS this weekend. I runs from 2
pm Saturday to 11 pm Sunday.

This is not a prime time of year for VHF propagation (although it is a
minor Es season, so 6 meter skip is not unheard of), but it does generate
activity on the VHF bands.

We serious or semi-serious VHF contesters can use every qso we can find, so
it you have any sort of rig that will operate on 6 meters or above, do
hook it to whatever antenna you might have (40 meter antennas can be
reasonably OK on 6 meters) and hand out a few points to the deserving.

I'll be in there, though not sure how seriously.

Greetings NCCers, The CQWW 160 CW test is coming soon. Consider yourself
'whipped' to operate. The test starts 2200Z on Jan 28 (Friday) and runs to
200Z on Sunday. This is one of my favorite tests and my view is EVERYONE
should get on and give me a contact! You don't need power or even a good
antenna to make some contacts. This is a good way to get ready for ARRLDX
CW
coming in Feb.

Post your plans here and I'll make a list to distribute and also add to
the
website. I plan to be on as close to full time as possible and look
forward
to working lots of NCCers.
