This weekend is the PA QSO Party, 16z to 05z Saturday, and 13z to 22z
Sunday. I'm doing things a bit differently this year, as I'm presently in NNJ
helping my daughter move into her new house. I'll be leaving early Sunday, to
spend time stopping along I-80 as a rover in the PAQP as I head home to
Cleveland.

My present plans are to concentrate in Columbia, Montour, Northumberland,
Union, Clinton, and Cameron counties, intending to spend about an hour in
each. I will be trying out a new rover-specific antenna for 40 meters,
attaching a 33 ft wire to the magmount on the roof, hanging to some nearby tree.
In other words, a 33 foot HamStick. Some simple tests at home had it
working nearly as well as a 40 foot high dipole.

As a result I hope to be spending more worthwhile time on phone, but I will
still be sure to make a good show on CW, including 20 and 15 meters.
The exchange in the PAQP is serial number and ARRL section (not state),
so you folks in CA may be able to pass out a rare (or at least scarce) one
in this event.

If you're on the air Saturday, you may also hear me working a few guys from
NNJ as I check out things.

I hope to work lots on you in the contest on Sunday.
