Hola and HNY to all NCC and MRRC members.

Just a quick follow-up to the multiple emails regarding this weekend's
festivities. This weekend is the 25th annual (can you believe it?) K8AZ
open house. CBA is good (7275 Surrey Lane, Chesterland, OH 44026) and GPS
should get you here. If anyone needs directions, drop me a note and I'll
send you info.

This year, K3LR will host a station tour starting promptly at 11:30 am.
Please let Tim know if you plan to attend so he can make sure he has
enough parking. After that, the gang will go to (the original) Quaker
Stake & Lube, & then make the ~90 minute drive to K8AZ.

The open house goes until around 7, at which point we convene the annual
NCC meeting. That usually lasts less than an hour, and, as a rule, many of
the guys then drift over to K8MR's for his annual party. (Jim's annual
party preceded mine and must be close to his 30th year, counting years on
Atherstone in Cleveland Hts.)

Four quick things of note:

   - There is currently 18" of snow on the ground here and it does not look
like much of it will melt before Saturday. So parking will be TIGHT.
Please plan to park in the K8AZ drive -- pack 'em in, boys! --- parking on
the street is difficult because it's a narrow street and with snow, etc,
parking can impede a car going the other way. Also, please consider
parking in the circular turnaround part of my neighbor to the west -- at
7265 Surrey -- but DO NOT block in her "straight in" drive.
   - Surrey Lane is a private drive and the residents have to have it
privately plowed. SO -- there is no salt used. In other words, it can be
   very slippery. PLEASE be careful!
   - Per tradition, I will have a "give away" table -- stuff I'm no longer
using. To give everyone a fair shot, I'll uncover it around 7, after the
pizza dinner and when folks start to leave to drift over to Jim's.
   - In olden days, we used to go through 3-5 cases of beer. Recently,
I've been hauling about that much beer to Jim's. (Jim's daughters are
delighted. If you have a beer preference, please let me know. With me
buying less, there will be less selection -- and I'd prefer to have popular
flavors in stock. (As usual, there will be a full liquor bar and wine
available upstairs.) Also, if you have soda preferences, please let me
   know that too.

Very much looking forward to seeing the gang this year.

Tom, K8AZ
