[Ray Fallen]

AI6V (ex WA6JUD), Carl D. Cook, aka P40V/P49V, passed away in his
sleep yesterday.  He was just two days away from 75.  Carl had been
fighting cancer for some time.  He was both a Contester and DXer and
was a member of the CQ Contest Hall of Fame and had 331/340
(current/total) confirmed in the ARRL DXCC Mixed standings.  K3LP,
Dave, visited his friend and mentor Carl, last month and has posted
some photos of AI6V throughout the years at:
