Hi Everyone,
A few minutes ago (about 1215 PM local) I just worked three WRTC stations on 20 Meters. They all were S7-S8. If you have time to get on the radio, it should be a fun afternoon exchanging reports (give them real reports) and learning when we will be able to work the guys in MA.
If you didn't see the notice on CQ Contest, here is the announcement about the special one hour event this afternoon sponsored by CW Ops to allow everyone to test their equipment prior to tomorrow's contest:
CWops is holding an IARU-WRTC practice session Friday.
2000-2100Z 11 July. IARU and WRTC rules and exchanges apply.
WRTC teams will be on the air. (They will not be using the special
one-by-one WRTC-2014 call signs.) This is great chance for everyone to help
WRTC competitors make sure their setups and teamwork are working.
Even though sponsored by CWops, don't neglect SSB.
CW rally frequencies are 28 to 38 kHz up from band edges, plus or minus as
activity dictates. Please be particularly considerate of ongoing QSOs and
DXpeditions.
Hope to work everyone this weekend.
GL to K8MR & K9NW!!!
73, Hal W1NN
