Hal,

Mothballs do the trick. Cover the car, use coffee cans with mothballs in
them, under the cover in a couple of locations.

Subject: [NCC] Time for a New Car

I'm in the market for a new car. My 96 Acura has been very reliable and
gives good mileage but, among other things, the mice have eaten through the
nearly inaccessable wiring harness and a bunch of chewed up wires are
dangling loose behind the engine. It's amazing that the thing has been
running at all.

I'd like to buy a car that I could use for mobiling in the OHQP, the MIQP,
maybe the NYQP, etc. If anyone has any suggestions for cars that produce
little noise, or, on the other hand, any information about cars that should
be avoided because they produce a lot of noise, such info would be
appreciated.

And if anyone knows how to keep mice out of cars, I'm all ears. I often
park my car in the garage for 3-4 months at a time and the local mice just
love it. My neighbor said Ivory soap placed in the engine compartment keeps
mice away from a classic car that he stores, but I tried it and the soap
just disappeared.

Thanks in advance!

73, Hal W1NN
