Hi Tim,

Several weeks ago K9PG emailed me telling me Bob was in
bad shape (he heard this at the HamVention). I called Bob several
times without talking to him and left a messages on his machine.

I can't say enough good things about Bob, he was my best friend for
many years before I moved to Vegas. Let me put it this way, if you were
drowning you would want Bob on the other end of the rope you were
clinging to.

This indeed very bad news, many of my generation have become SK's.

On a brighter note I'm pleased to know you, you have made the greatest
impact for the good to amateur radio. Long after you become a SK your
place in amateur radio will be remembered.
