[NCC] 160 Meters in CW SS?

One can never sure what conditions will bring. Do note that a geomagnetic storm is expected:

"NOAA forecasters say there is a 45% chance of minor G1-class geomagnetic storms on Nov. 3rd when a stream of solar wind is expected to hit Earth's magnetic field. The gaseous material is flowing from a large hole in the sun's atmosphere."




Storm or not, with solar flux low we often have skip zones even on 80 meters. Last weekend I called VE3EJ, 150 miles away and very weak, many times on 75 before we got a slight bump in propagation to make it into his log. Folks somewhat further away were booming at the time.


160 is typically not a factor in SS, but I think it will be worth it to be prepared and consider trying it should we find ourselves skipping over close in guys.
