And then, there are the 2.4 GHz links across the power
transformers, every few drops.  Can you see the noise
going up on the 2.4GHz satellite band?  

For what it's worth, AMSAT-NA, and the other national AMSAT
organizations are providing a very broad footprint of earth
coverage, such that the added 2.4 GHz noisefloor will impact
globally, via the satellites.  It cannot be dealt with on a
case-by-case basis, because the impact is global.  

The profit motive is strong.  Digital Nirvana for Dummies is
appealing.  We'll have to fight them in every venue.  

But it's worth it.
