Last time I had that problem was on a Benz diesel...Took the alternator to the shop we used to rebuild alternators and asked if he could fix it.,Can't remember exactly what he did,something about polishing something, but no new or additional parts. Cured the problem...I suppose the Bosch and the Autolite units are similar. 73,de Bud WØHG
