Chassis bonding in some contemporary vehicles is really poor (or
non-existent). The body of my 2006 Toyota Sequoia (large SUV, based
on big Tundra pickup) has really awful electrical integrity. It's
common to read tens of ohms between parts of the chassis. When I
fired up my 100 watt radio into a hamstick that had the braid of the
coax well bonded to the roof frame, the car's computer locked up. I
had to kill power and restore it to start driving again.
