[RFI] What the ARRL has power line noise?

Some necessary evil!

Is there a good reason then why they should use my money to buy  
equipment that then can't be used because of RFI?

Much better IMO to turn it into a case history of how they had the  
problem and how they fixed it.

Otherwise its like leaving a patient's curable disease untreated, then  
he dies, and then you say "See what happens when we don't treat this  
disease?"

So yeah, other people learn that it's good to treat the disease, too  
bad for the guy who had to die for the object lesson.
