it wasn't Christmas lights, but I had a screw-in Chinese no-name LED bulb that made hash all over hf. obviously powered by an unfiltered switching supply.

better than others? All bad? No problems?"

I have played with LED lighting to replace incandescent since the mid-80's
I have never heard RFI from an LED, however, LEDs that have controllers, for
various functions, flashing, chasing, et cetera, I've heard several city
blocks/large fractions of a mile from the light string. The noise wasn't
from LEDs, but from the controller box circuitry and the string wire acting
as an antenna. This was especially noticeable on HF.
