[RFI] Decoupling small trailer to reduce RFI?

Hybrids, e.g. a Prius, are infamous for HF hash from
all of the electronics.

I have read that someone went nuts shielding & bypassing
things & made theirs usable but I lack the knowledge &
time for such an adventure & doubt I could afford to
pay someone local to do it for me!

That said, what if I mount the HF antenna on a small
trailer, electrically decoupling it from the frame of
the Prius - via a non-conductive hitch-section - and
optically decouple the trailer light signaling (I'd
use battery powered LED brake & signal lights)?

I'm hoping that the strong field of RFI would not
extend 4-6' to the rear of the Prius (it's not in
the driveway at the moment so I cannot test that).

WDYT?
