Hello RSM Folks,
VE6SV himself was active for ARRL DX CW 160M only.
Mainly to "smoke test" the repairs to station one's amp.
The repairs included a design change to the screen bias
switching circuits.
All hardware performed to their respective tasks.
Qs - 111 DX 31
Heard but could not capture in the log: HA8MA, D4C, S01WS, DU7ET, HL5
Number of SA stations were not hearing well that resulted in a number of
SA multis not making into the log.
We had wet snow for the weekend and this sure "quieted" the local noise
sources. So much so the TX vertical was my best RX antenna at times.
The next multi-op effort at VE6SV is WPX SSB March 25-26 as a Multi-One
entry.
The station door is always to newcomers to the team.
This spring and summer the station will undergo some major antennas (mostly
on
tower 1) to improve 20M and 40M. As these bands will be the "money" bands
for
the next few years.
Also some changes to antenna selection switching to "de-bottle neck" a
couple of
selection issues that occur on the low bands.
Repairs to the tower 4 40M yagi - element bracket let loose.
ENnoy ham radio!
73, Gord VE6SV
