Heading out shortly to the cottage where I hope my now-higher windom will work a bit better than it did. Perhaps I’ll have time to toss up a 20m loop, too, but we’ll see. 

If you do get on and get intimidated by the wall of tone between about 020 and 070 on whatever band, edge up a bit higher. There’s usually some free space up there and it’s a good spot for those with less than average stations or those with speed issues.

Put it this way, the VE4 prefix is worth more than a few dBs of gain and a lot more in terms of patience!

An early start on 40 isn’t a bad strategy, either!
