[RTTY] Another thing about viruses

Hi again (this time from work)

Having read Dougs' email about that which he received (supposedly) from Ron,
there is a little clue about viruses.

It shows:

   --====_ABC1234567890DEF_====
   Content-Type: audio/x-wav;
	    name="fun.MP3.pif"
   Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
   Content-ID: <EA4DMGBP9p>
================================

Note the NAME bit, where it shows TWO suffixes! Anything with TWO suffixes,
especially if it ends as PIF, is a NASTY!
You can overcome this partly by setting WINXX to show ALL suffixes, so you
can check.
A friend of mine got hammered by a virus because he was sent CAR.JPG.PIF,
and he was expecting such a photo to be emailed to him, so he opened it. Oh
silly boy! He didn't see the PIF at the end, 'cos he didnt set explorer to
show suffixes.

I guess it just goes to show that we should ALL run anti-virus software, and
make sure it is updated regularly.

It is also worth while setting VB scripts not to run automatically! That can
save you from some nasties.

Have fun, and please beware of the little bugs!
