Never built one, but saw one.  A guy built one here in Coos Bay,
(just a couple of months before the TRS-80 came out, and it
worked pretty slick.  I remember he bought an 8 inch floppy drive
for it for $1200.  Think it had 160k storage capability.  How
things change :-)  73
