Hi,

unfortunately I had no chance to be active in the SARTG; I love the
operating time format of this contest very much! However; maybe my
job will allow me to be active in the SCC next weekend, we'll see?

For those of you, who want to participate in the SCC next weekend and
don't know, at which time trying for W <=> EU QSO's on 80m, here some
recommendations. But please have in your mind, that End August is
not the best time for QSO's between the USA and Europe on 80m and
there is no guaranty, of course! ~:)

Something about the sunrise in EU on the next weekend (24/25-Aug-2002):
SP - east border: ~03:30
DL - central ...: ~04:30
G - west border: ~05:30

The last 30..60 minutes before sunrise in EU should be a good time
for trying. The time range for possible contacts between USA and
DL is (SP ~1h earlier, G ~1h later):

Medium chance .........: W1=00:30-04:30, W2+W3=01:00-04:30
Low chance ............: W8=01:30-04:30, W4+W9=02:00-04:30
Very low chance .......: W5=02:30-04:30
Theoretical chance only: W0=03:00-04:30, W6+W7=03:30-04:30

There is an other problem, we should have in our mind: At this
time the causal EU RTTY contester is sleeping and not sitting
in his radio shack. ~:(

Good luck, if you'll try. ~:)
