Common misconception:

CQ is running the contests.

Truth:  CQ has NOTHING TO DO with running ANY of their contests.  CQ
Contests are all run by volunteers and sometimes you get a lot more than
what you pay for....and sometimes you dont.  CQ publishes the magazine that
prints the results and that's about it.


Common misconception:

Eddie is doing the log checking.

Truth:  WT4I software is doing the log checking and it contains arguably
subtle yet serious flaws.  It's a perfect example of the problems that arise
from blindly trusting computer software to score logs.
