And... if those same people were to code their own program, putting THEIR 
intellectual-sweat into it, then utilize it solely for their own-e.g. not 
present it for sale-usage, I'd think that was fine too. The 'THING' they 
are stealing is someone else's WORK.

I understand that you're only explaining the pirate's rationale, but 
there's no justification for it.
