EA RTTY CONTEST 2003 RULES
 

Sponsored by Unión de Radioaficionados Españoles (U.R.E.)

 

 

Date:      

16:00 Z Sat. To 16:00 Z Sun, april 5 – 6,  2003.

 

Mode                     

RTTY (Baudot)

 

Bands:   

10, 15, 20, 40 and 80 meters, according to the IARU bands plan.

 

Classes:               

a) single operator, all band

b) single operator single band

c) Multi operator all band only

d) SWLs (accepted only SWL call sign)

 

Call:                       

CQ EA TEST

 

Message:             

RST and serial number. Only EA stations send RST and PREFIJO PROVINCIAL.

 

Points:                  

On 10, 15 and 20 meter bands, ONE POINT for contacts within own continent, TWO POINTS for contact outside own

continent.

On 40 and 80 meter bands, THREE POINTS for contacts within own continent, SIX POINTS for contact outside own

continent.

Contacts between stations world-wide are valid. Contacts between own country stations are valids. It is not necessary to

contact EA stations.

 

Multipliers:                           

a) DXCC Entities

b) Spanish Provinces

c) Call area of USA, VE, JA and VK

 

NOTES                  

Stations operating from call areas other than their call ID, are asked to use “ /x “ for their actual call area.

 

The firs QSO with EA, EA6, EA8 and EA9 stations, on each band, count for two multipliers (DXCC Entity + Province)

 

The first QSO with an bW, VE, JA and VK stations, on each band, count for two multipliers (DXCC Entity and call area).

 

The use of cluster is allowed for all classes.

Final score:          

Total points in all bands x total multipliers in all bands.

 

Trophies:              

Plaque to winner in each Class, if the valid QSO number is higher than 50; Certificate all four Classes 1st thru 3rd place.

 

Logs:                     

Paper log submissión.                

 

The log must be in chronological order and show: band, date time  (UTC), callsign, RST sent, exchange message sent, 

RST received, exchange received, multipliers and QSO points. 

All duplicate contacts must be shown and indicate zero points.

Send separate log for each band.

Each entry must be accompanied by a Summary Sheet with the  following informations:  QSOs number, points,

multipliers and score for each band and for total, your callsign and postal address.

Multi operator stations must include the callsign and names of all operators involved.

 

                               

Electronics log submission 

 

Only  two files are required, named yourcall.all and yourcall.sum, written in plain ASCII text. We don’t accept log files

in other formats.

The yourcall.all file must be in chronological order and shows: band, date time  (UTC), callsign, RST sent, exchange

message sent, RST received, exchange received, multipliers and QSO points.

The yourcall.sum file must show QSOs number, points, multipliers and score for each band and for total.

Multi operator stations must include the callsign and names of all operators involved.

 

Logs on 3 ½  inch disk together with the printed summary sheet are accepted.

Please use your callsign as the subject heading. 

The summary sheet in plain ASCII text must be named yourcall.sum. The log file must also be in plain ASCII text and named yourcall.log 

 

Cabrillo format

 

The Cabrillo format will be accepted and encouraged, but it is still not compulsory. 

 

Deadline                For all entries (mail and internet) the deadline is May 10th, 2003.

 

The Commettee will be able to decide at any moment to consider as “check log” any  log with “uniques call” porcentage

bigger than 5%
