We were surprised about the conditions. Perhaps they were not great but
far better than during VOLTA RTTY. During the first night 20 meters
was open. We started on 20 meters working many USA and Canada
stations and also VK6GOM, HR1RMG, YV5AAX, HK4QHD and ZC4DW during the
first hour. We could hear and work USA and Canada all the night and
till late morning. Next KH6ND appeared. While calling him on 20 meters
we heard that NL7Z was working him. Unfortunately we did not find any
KL7 then. The first morning was nice here: still many USA and Canada,
KH6ND, FO5PS, FK8HN and AH8LG and of course many other multipliers.
We are really surprised to have our best ever score in ANARTS: in the
number of QSOs, multipliers, VK bonus and final score.
The best thrill for us was when FK8GX called us on Sunday night, three
hours before the end of the contest and also VK/ZL signals which were
extremely strong in that time in Poland. We also worked PS7TKS on 80
meters and it was great - it was made just with a single dipole. Great
activity from many DX countries made the high multiplier possible.
Thanks to all for the precious points.
