You have a point there, but in situations like these I
like to ask "Is life more fun or less fun by participating
in this activity?"

I think it's pretty good fun. If you have two radios
going, its a challenge just to keep all the monkeys
in their cages.

There is always an adrenaline rush going into a Sprint,
because it's hard to simulate outside the contest itself,
and if something goes wrong, there is little time to
recover.

The contest definitely hones S&P skills. You can't win
by using the cq-move-cq strategy.

With current participation, you can't eliminate the
three qso dupe rule, or there would be nobody to work
after about 45 minutes. If the contest were made
shorter in duration, band conditions would skew the
results toward the east or west coast, depending on
the exact time selected.

Actually, this is one of the few contests where there
is not a substantial geographic advantage for anybody.

So, while it's not perfect, I think life is more fun with
this contest than without it.
