Hello, This is a truly newbie question that I preferred as few a
peoples to see as possible. I usually manage to embarrass myself
over something everytime I take up a new mode, and especially if I'm
building something.. :-[

What I need to know today is what the station classifications mean.

SPDX RTTY Contest

Call: WA6BOB
Operator(s): WA6BOB
Station: WA6BOB

Class: SOAB HP
QTH: CA
Operating Time (hrs): 4

What does the SPDX, AND THE SOAB HP class mean and what are other
classes. If I ever enter a contest I will be barefoot at 150 watts
(ts-950sdx) I doubt I would crank up my amp, wouldn't run more than
400 watts if I did. I worry about tubes on continuous duty modes!

Are all the contests listed in QST and CQ? If so I'm covered for
this info. I've been amazed by the bpsk mode, how many signals can
they put on one frequency? Impressive. I have a lot more to learn
and to actually relearn (had a 'lil stroke that confused some of my
memory storage) I sound like a computer now! :-P anyway, before I
really join you guys I need to learn some more stuff. I love my
radios, I love my computer, I love my software, and after 44 years I
still love my XYL!

I'll go now before I bore you to death, God bless, 73
