Tom, yes I checked the rig end of the cable with it plugged into the Rascal
and it does show a short between gnd and PTT. So appears that the Rascal
itself is defective. My Luck! Guess I will see what kind of service I can
receive from BuxComm. Let you all know how it sorts out. Thanks Cort K4WI

Jan, I am loath to break open the case of the Rascal to see what is shorted
so could you please send me a replacement and i will return the defective
unit ? Thanks Cort K4WI
