[RTTY] FSK on IC-740

I have been playing with an old IC-740 on RTTY.  It works fine on 
AFSK using mmtty or my old PK-232, but I can not get it to transmit 
FSK.  I need to use FSK because that allows me to use the narrow CW 
filters for receive.

I have been trying to use the PK-232 on FSK and get only a steady 
carrier.  I am using the mic input for PTT and trying to use the 
connector on the back for the FSK lead from the PK-232.  Does anyone 
have any ideas?
