[RTTY] Not to beat the ANTENNA OVERKILL horse...

Greetings

I'm new to the list and just walked in on this discussion. I run a KWM-2
with a not that high dipole and I often surprise myself by busting pileups.
I dispatch for a living, endlessly yelling my call sign along with a pack of
deranged Dx'ers is actually fun especially when I beat some of them. I
logged 1 call on field day 1972 and won my section (VE8). I'm 1813 on this
year's ARRL 10 meter and 1152 Nov SS. A lot more did a lot worse and this
is only a hobby. There are some who take the hobby too seriously. The last
contest left me asking the question were they all really running 100 watts,
I don't think so. My finals are dying but 20-50 watts got me 35 contacts.
Not bad for the new guy. I could be more precise in placement and make my
dipole work better. Too many classifications will just muddy the game.
Will using MultiPSK with the bandpass scan change my classification to
multi-something? I'm just grateful with the Maximum Useless Frequencies
being where they are to make a contact.

And thanks to those with LoTW for letting me know I really did get your call
right. At least 30% confirmation on the RTTY contest, much higher that the
SSB people.

where is the bell key? I love driving the other end crazy with endless
bells, I want my bell key back!

There are very few contests where your contacts won't count, especially if
you make enough to show up in multiple logs.

I don't think CQWW or ARRL exclude unique calls even.

I believe you have been given some bad information.

Come back to the majority of contests that don't require you to submit a
log.
