Well, I have been thinking this over and listening to some comments ffom
others. The gist of the creaping drive power on RTTY must not be overheating
(or anything else wrong)in the pair of MVFs themselves, since it doesn't
happen on SSB (mic to my TV set turned up loud) for 1/2 hr or CW (key down
for 5 min (twice as long as with RTTY transmissions mentioned earlier) and
it occurs on both rigs. It must lie with the audio change of the AFSK via
the Rigblaster...I think.

The observation that it doesn't occur on SSB further supports this, although
it is harder to stress the MVF in this mode.

The options now include bypassing the RigBlaster and adding a new sound card
to replace the integrated one (which I suppose could overhear easier since
it is on the motherboard.

Does this make any sense please?

Thanks,

David MD VE7KET
