That is very true.  EBAY WILL NEVER SEND YOU AN EMAIL REQUESTING YOU UPDATE 
YOUR INFORMATION, PERIOD.

I do eBay extensivly at work and we get 2-3 of those 'phishing' emails every 
day.  I just forward them to 'spoof at ebay.com'.  'Supposedly'. they 
investigate those, but I've never seen where someone has been busted.  73
