Hi Mike.......thanks for the tip about /qrp. I'll be going to a place called Rankin Inlet, perhaps a couple of other chilly locales. Its in CQ Zone 2 on the west side of Hudson Bay. I've heard zone2 can be tough to get confirmed, and theres not much after hours entertainment there - ham radio to my rescue :) hihi I'll be posting my schedule on the reflector for RTTY and PSK. I'll probably take dipoles for 20m & 15m.........cheers

Hello David,
At least one European QRP station is worked in every RTTY contest or so it seems. Probably a few more than I realize as most do not identify they are QRP in the exchange or when giving there call, e.g., XXXXX/QRP. I listen a bit closer to try and pull out the station identified with the /QRP at the end of his call. Give the /QRP at the end of your call a try to attract even more attention when you are in the Artic.

I'm amazed......how many contacts did you make with 5 watts? Are there people who do QRP RTTY? I ask because I'll be going to work in the arctic soon & taking a QRP rig for PSK, never thought it might work for RTTY?
