Agreed. John. QRP guys often use external amps (and I wish they used
them even more ;-) ).
In my case, I must have my Quadra in-line for antenna switching and
for its built-in ATU even if I don't activate it's amplifier
function. I can understand the intent of the NAQP contest rules
committee, but they could have come up with better wording to work
with standard equipment in the modern hamshack.
