[RTTY] TS-940S

I need some help for a friend who is trying to connect a Kenwood TS-940S via a Buxcom Rascal. Does anyone have any suggestions on this connection. He acquired supposedly the right cable which goes to the 13 pin on the rear of the radio and it will key the radio but no tones.  If anyone has experienced this I would really like to help him out.
