A little history might be in order...

The CONTEST spotting network was setup in the early 1990's for CONTESTS. 
It was enabled during CONTEST weekends to facilitate CONTESTING.

It later became apparent it might benefit others if the network was left
running, all the time.

Fifteen years later someone creates a website that monitors this spotting
network. They choose the name DX WATCH.

If you don't want RTTY spots, I suggest you filter them on your end. The
NAQP RTTY CONTEST is running this weekend and we are using the CONTEST
spotting network for our activity.
