Why they have become Digital as any piece of electronic junk out there?

Please could somebody elaborate more than me and add some explication on 
the why and what about this news. What's under?

BTW I strongly disagree, I would prefer a schema with "Digital Fuzzy 
Modes" and a "Digital not Fuzzy Modes" awards. CW is in the Fuzzy (1). 
This would be a real and effective change. Analog Phone should be left 
alone (vanishing, HI ;->)
