Why is it that RTTY operators are so much more likely to provide an LOTW
confirmation versus CW/SSB ops? Does anyone have a theory?

According to my records, here is how my LOTW confirmations break down
between modes:

RTTY 61.7% (1284/2078)
CW 40.8% (1747/4279)
SSB 35.2% (546/1550)

45.2% average confirmation rate (all modes combined)

Those are pretty raw figures, and my total Qs on LOTW are just a hair more
than 7,900.

I think that's an amazing confirmation rate via LOTW, especially considering
many of my RTTY confirmations are DX -- and if you use LOTW and are DX, you
know the processs to obtain an LOTW acccount/certificate is more involved.
The use of LOTW is definitely on the rise, regardless of mode.

At any rate, I'm grateful that so many RTTY ops are embracing LOTW for QSO
confirmation. Thanks to the great confirmation rates on RTTY, I've got
enough credits for RTTY WAS and for DXCC (not RTTY DXCC yet) with about 9
months of operating and 7,000s Qs
