Indeed, please take a little time to formulate a reasoned response.  Don't shoot off a note right away, but be certain not to miss the 30 day deadline.  I am sure there are enough people on this reflector to warn us when the deadline approaches.  

This deadline may be more important than any deadline for contest submissions that you have been involved in.

By waiting for the opposition to shoot first, you also have the chance to respond to their comments.
