[RTTY] Change in pileup procedure?

In addition, another thought. This scheme does not reduce the
number of transmitters. As it is currently, when running split,
QSO's in progress (UP) get clobbered by a lack of monitoring.
In this proposed scheme, the DX frequency is vacated with no
way of knowing how much time has 'expired' before the DX
returns.

When the DX station starts chatting (as they've been known to
do) with a friend or QSL manager, etc., or goes QRT, there will
be plenty of stations UP and UP still waiting and calling.

Susan asks about those who can't figure out the split button.
Another, more common question: What if the folks don't have
dual receive? Or more to the point, if they're not monitoring
now, what makes anyone think they will start monitoring?

Just a thought,
