I don't see that as a problem. Just sit on your (clear) frequency until
one of thee things happens:
1. The DX works you.
2. Some one moves in on your frequency, so you QSY.
3. You get tired and give up.
The DX spots usually tell you when he goes QRT.
One advantage to QYF is you are constantly monitoring your own frequency
to make sure it remains clear. If QRM appears, you can QSY immediately
instead of wasting time competing with him.
