Phil
We stray from "RTTY" here, but since there are apparently RTTY groups on
Facebook, I think the discussion is fair game.

That non-rescindable permission we gave to FaceBook lets them use ALL of our
information, including what they glean from other users (our contacts and
Facebook friends and their connections), plus whatever else is searchable about
us on the internet to build a pretty comprehensive profile from which well
targeted advertisement can be constructed. We have given them the right to use
and sell this targeted info in any way they want. Of course we do not give up
the "right" to use OUR OWN info, that's the deceptive part. Note that this
includes all photos, multimedia, and sound files we ever posted, and for any
purpose they want, including combining them with any other media files anyway
they choose and for whatever purpose they choose. Sound familiar?

That is why FaceBook is and will be such a successful business. There is no
conspiracy here, we willingly (if not fully knowingly) gave up our privacy for
free, for all time.

Did you think that those suspiciously "on target" ads that pop up in your
browser, and perhaps some those spam emails are random?
