Bob, I think you may have identified a good pattern that leads to this, where S&P caller gets spotted.

I myself don't mind too much if S&P calls end up on the skimmer but others may be more picky. I tend to use skimming to show me any hint of activity rather than "guaranteed proof of activity". Others use it in different ways.

I almost always wait for carrier to go away before I key up. Not sure if that makes any difference for RCKSkimmer.

In several cases I was able to see some of the more rare DX mults working their way up a band in S&P mode via the skimmer spots.

For skimmer spots: Open Reversebeacon.net in your browser, go to "DX spots", then "Download raw data". Both CW and RTTY are there.

For non-skimmer spots: dxwatch.com is often useful but does not offer direct downloads. Usually the volume is small enough that seeing the last 50 manually entered spots is more than enough to help me with my research. E.g. http://www.dxwatch.com/dxsd1/dxsd1.php?f=0&c=n3qe&t=dx
