[RTTY] Dealing with High-Pitched Background Noise?

Thanks all....glad to know this is normal.  I ended up doing what several
suggested during the latter part of the NAQP, just keeping the volume up
just high enough to be able to aid in tuning,

And thanks John for the advice not to try the external amplifier...that
saves some time. :)
