I think this is an important point.

RTTY contesting can be very engaging, watching multiple decoder windows and
simultaneously using ears and applying brain and thought to getting correct
copy, then knowing the RF environment in both frequency and time domains to
actually complete the QSO.

I definitely find RTTY contesting more interesting with multiple decoders
running in parallel.
