While the above is true, you can easily stir up some activity with a CQ 
or two. Try 20 meters in the middle of the night when the band appears 
dead and point your antenna towards Europe. I often become the "DX", 
working one station after another. The Ukranians seem especially fond of 
RTTY. Lotsa fun.
