Such sad news. Mirek gave me a few new ones, and quite a few new slots in his time.

Dear Friends

It's  very  hard for me to inform that my friend Mirek SP5IXI passed away in the result of heart attack.

Mirek  was  the  owner  of  many callsigns: SP5IXI, VK6DXI, 7X0DX, 9V1XE, 9M8DX,  9N1DX,  FK/VK6DXI,  TF/SP5IXI,  Z21DXI  to  mention  some  of his activities.  He  travelled  the  world  because of his numerous  business
trips    and  he  always  tried  to  be active on bands from countries he
visited.  He  was  also  a member of big DXpeditions, to mention FT5XO or ZL8R. 

Mirek  loved our hobby, he had a lot of passion and enthusiasm and he was a real friend. He was a very good HAM and a very, very good man.

Two   days ago I was talking to Mirek. He had just returned home in Perth
after  spending  a  few weeks in Singapore (with the activity as 9V1XE of course).  We  had  plans  to prepare new QSL cards, to upload all logs to LoTW etc. Plans...

May he rest in peace....
