Rick, I implemented a bridge between Gritty and DXLab's WinWarbler about a year ago. Characters decoded by GRITTY 1.3 appear in one
of WinWarbler's receive panes within a character time or three of characters decoded by MMTTY and 2Tone. If it would help, I'd be
glad to send you the source code for this bridge.

Subject: [RTTY] Help--GRITTY and N1MM+
Over the weekend I was able to fix the focus issue. Now when clicking on a call or exchange in Gritty the focus does get returned
back to the entry window. Gritty does not like to give up focus and this was done by using a couple of API calls. One other change
to the Gritty implementation is when you are not using the attached windows the RX window caption and menu now float above the
Gritty window where ever it is placed. This was done to provide the users that complained a way to get to the setup menu. If you
don't want to see the floating window just minimize it.
" I.E. it's difficult to think that the already written data inside the GRITTY screen could take place into the DI window of
N1MM+."
I spent 2 weeks trying to interface a solution for the Gritty text to be placed in the Digital Window. But could not come up with a
workable solution where the text in the digital window was not lagged by more than 30 seconds.
You can see this same lag I am talking about in the implementation of Gritty into Logger32 that Bob just completed. The delayed text
is present after a little while of decoding. I came to the conclusion that just having the user click in the Gritty window and have
that window open for the users to use it.
I did not get a chance this weekend to see what parsing needs to be done with exchanges that are clicked. In my testing previously
I had never see more than one exchange element selected and sent to the Entry window. I will do more testing of this as I get a
chance.
" On the same side it is not useful that N1MM+ leave an unused DI added decoder space when GRITTY is in use."
This happens when using the attached RX windows and is something I need to rework. The way the Attached rx windows are loaded it
makes no difference what engine is loaded. I will need to re-write that section of the code to get this to work correctly and is on
my list of things to do...

Unfortunately Hank it work like you wrote.
We are back on keyboard actions to emulate integration, that's not that great as N1MM+ is really an automation champions under
several point of view. DOS times are gone since forever, out of some needed hands adjustments ... 821AYD TOO PPQ.
Thinking to the software integration perspective there are even other lacks.
All together are to be reworked from inside GRITTY and N1MM+.
Mains are inside GRITTY, just some are into N1MM+.
I.E. it's difficult to think that the already written data inside the GRITTY screen could take place into the DI window of N1MM+.
On the same side it is not useful that N1MM+ leave an unused DI added decoder space when GRITTY is in use.
The Contest parameter doesn't change anything outside GRITTY. It have meaning only for strings recognition inside GRITTY.
I strongly hope that Alex and the N1MM+ Dev. Team would have the time to work around a full integrations of GRITTY and N1MM+.
One of the force of free software is this: to work all together. They all have the skill and the knowledge to look at MMTTY and to
mimic what's new into what is needed, where is needed.
Only not free software work like this, ;-) :

(this link come just from a google search, here is unarming, it is just intended to give a view of a picture well known: a swing
project ;-)
It will be great, great, great! (est, est, est)

PS What I have in mind s for integration is a fully funct ional set of functions of both, GRITTY and N1MM+, as MMTTY and N1MM+ are
placing on ours desktops. This even considering the fact that GRITTY is a receive only mechanism.
BTW external file logging is lacking on the GRITTY, fully, and 2Tone, partially.
I strongly hope that these two free products may have a kick forward, GRITTY need it somewhat strongly.
